We all desire to have a healthy and glowing skin. Though there are many lotion companies who claim that their products are the best, but your skin health is directly associated with what you eat. Healthy eating is a must to have a glowing skin. In this post, I am exploring 5 food items that are very nutritious and good for a healthy skin.

Salmon: it is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which is very helpful and effective against heart diseases, depression, and inflammation, besides others. Since our body does not produce all essential fatty acids, taking them from outside sources is crucial.


Carrots: They are roots that contain starch and high levels of beta carotene, a precursor of Vit-A. This vitamin acts as an antioxidant. Consuming carrots everyday is beneficial for skin, and the overall health of an individual.


Milk: It is essential for the growth of the child. Milk contains calcium and Vitamin D. Calcium is essential for strengthening bones and Vitamin D plays a significant role in skin development. So drink a glass of milk every day. If you drink milk every day, you don’t even need to take sun exposure to get Vitamin D.


Almonds: This dry fruit is very nutritious and helps in delaying the ageing process. It contains high amount of Vitamin E and has antioxidant quality as well. You can eat almonds by soaking them in water or milk overnight and then peel off the outer membrane and chew them.



Watermelon: It contain high amount of water and low sugar. It really helps in keeping your skin hydrated and also provides instant energy. In addition, watermelon helps reduce wrinkles as well.
