Winter is fast approaching. Like
most of you, I also like winter, because the hot summer days were so difficult,
especially when the temperature would cross 40 degree and above. Though winter
is cool, but makes us lethargic and sleepy rather than being physically active.
In addition, winter makes our skin dry, chapped lips, and common cold, besides
others. Now the question is how to avoid winter problems? Well, there are some
important and useful tips to have a healthy winter.
Some useful skin care tips
Moisturizing cream/lotion: Use some good moisturizing cream/lotion
after taking a shower. This will nourish your skin and resist from drying.
Chapped lips: Chapped lips is one of the biggest problems in the
winter season. Use lip balm that contains at least SPF 15.
Cracked heels: Another biggest problem is cracked heel in the
winter season. Well, there is nothing to worry about. All you need to do is
soak your feet in lukewarm water for about 15 minutes and then scrub using a
pumice stone. After scrubbing, apply some cream to the affected area. Do this
process regularly at least 3-4 times a week and see the difference – a healthy
heel.
Hair care tips
Use hair oil: Massage your hair scalp regularly before washing your
hair. Use hair oil to add nutrition to your hair and to get rid of problems
such as split ends and dry hair.
Use conditioners: Use good conditioner, as it provides moisture to
your hair. Apply conditioner after taking a shower to smoothen your hair.
Do not use hair dryer: Many of us use hair dryers in winter, which
is an unhealthy practice. If you use dryer then it will make your hair messy
and brittle.
Tips to avoid winter sickness
Flu: Winter flu is one of the common problems during this season.
In order to avoid flu, take a steamy shower and sip hot soups made of chicken
or green vegetables, as per your likings.
Sore throat: We cannot tolerate this problem anymore. So, if you
really want to avoid this problem then try gargling with lukewarm water mixed
with a pinch of salt. Do not drink cold water.
Smart living tips for this winter
Wear woolen clothe: Keep yourself covered with woolen clothes and
never compromise with it. Prepare your woolen clothes now –wash them properly
and dry under the sun because after a week, we can expect hazy weather all the
time.
Eat healthy diet and stay active: Winter is all about food, all
green and fresh vegetables. So cook delicious food and eat on time. Besides,
keep yourself active and exercise for at least half an hour.
So, embrace this winter in a
healthy way and keep smiling.
